Although the conditions of millions of people in the region are making fewer and fewer headlines, in late July major newspapers and news agencies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.online\/2023\/07\/26\/siria-cure-negate-malati-oncologici-cosa-succede\/\">Open<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ansa.it\/sito\/notizie\/mondo\/africa\/2023\/07\/27\/siria-cure-negate-per-centinaia-di-malati-oncologici-nel-nord-ovest_3af6bbbf-89fe-48e7-931a-fe255f622c5c.html\">Agenzia Ansa<\/a> took up Still I Rise&#8217;s call, publishing stories about the hundreds of cancer patients who were left without treatment.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.online\/2023\/07\/26\/siria-cure-negate-malati-oncologici-cosa-succede\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stillirise.org\/uploads\/site\/assets\/files\/1290\/schermata_2023-08-30_alle_11_06_52.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure><p>The news agency DIRE also published news of protests in Northwest Syria against the <strong>UN Security Council\u2019s failure to reach an agreement<\/strong> on the delivery of humanitarian aid through the Bab al-Hawa crossing on the border with Turkey. The protests took place in mid-July, and were documented by Abdulkafi Alhamdo, Still I Rise&#8217;s program manager in Syria.<\/p><p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/f44Eeg3W1Gc?si=mE2b9mmrezWbC8CH\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p><p>The<strong> opening of Still I Rise&#8217;s new International School in Colombia<\/strong>, which is set to start by the end of 2024 in Bogot\u00e1, caught the attention of Famiglia Cristiana. The article, written by Micol Vallotto, retraces the main steps of Still I Rise and tells the story of its founder and Executive Director Nicol\u00f2 Govoni, from his beginnings to the meeting with Pope Francis, which took place on June 4th in the RAI studios of the program <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raiplay.it\/video\/2023\/05\/Speciale-A-Sua-immagine-La-forza-della-vita---Il-Santo-Padre-a-casa-di-A-sua-Immagine-645c9932-d22c-475c-9247-787271ea3ee6.html\">&#8220;A Sua immagine&#8221;<\/a>, the first appearance in history of a Pontiff in a television studio.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stillirise.org\/uploads\/site\/assets\/files\/1290\/schermata_2023-08-30_alle_11_12_11.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><p>Some of the main national newscasts and press agencies, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ansa.it\/oltretevere\/notizie\/2023\/05\/27\/francesco-alla-raiil-debutto-di-un-papa-nello-studio-tv_2b6867af-0c9e-4d1e-977b-05abbe6579aa.html\">ANSA<\/a> and AGI, reported on Nicol\u00f2 Govoni&#8217;s participation in this historic episode. The <strong>meeting with the Pontiff <\/strong>was at the center of a series of interviews that the founder of Still I Rise gave in the following days, including those aired by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiolombardia.it\/2023\/06\/07\/nicolo-govoni-in-tv-col-papa-un-incontro-emozionante\/\">Radio Lombardia<\/a> and Rai Radio Uno. Still I Rise was also at the center of the 29th June episode of the RAI show <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raiplay.it\/video\/2023\/06\/TG2-Tutto-il-bello-che-ce-del-29062023-93907cd0-30fd-498f-b38e-5610b2d09917.html\">&#8220;Tutto il bello che c&#8217;\u00e8\u201d<\/a>, through an interview with the organization&#8217;s founder and a focus on the Through Our Eyes exhibition at the European Library in Rome.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raiplay.it\/video\/2023\/06\/TG2-Tutto-il-bello-che-ce-del-29062023-93907cd0-30fd-498f-b38e-5610b2d09917.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stillirise.org\/uploads\/site\/assets\/files\/1290\/schermata_2023-08-30_alle_11_15_26.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure><p>Via an article written by Antonella Barina about <strong>Clown One Italia&#8217;s workshop <\/strong>at the Still I Rise International School in Nairobi, Il Venerd\u00ec di Repubblica also reported on the organization&#8217;s projects. An in-depth interview with Nicol\u00f2 Govoni was published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsi.ch\/rete-uno\/programmi\/intrattenimento\/millevoci\/Dalle-merendine-all%E2%80%99attivismo-per-i-diritti-umani-16290544.html\">Radiotelevisione Svizzera (RSI)<\/a> during the program &#8220;Millevoci,&#8221; hosted by Natascia Bandecchi and aired simultaneously on TV on La2 and on radio on Rete Uno, on June 27.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsi.ch\/rete-uno\/programmi\/intrattenimento\/millevoci\/Dalle-merendine-all%E2%80%99attivismo-per-i-diritti-umani-16290544.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stillirise.org\/uploads\/site\/assets\/files\/1290\/schermata_2023-08-30_alle_11_17_20.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure><p>The founder of Still I Rise was also interviewed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tgcom24.mediaset.it\/cronaca\/nicolo-govoni-studenti-che-sparano-in-classe-la-scuola-italiana-e-obsoleta_66703158-202302k.shtml\">TGCOM24<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.donnamoderna.com\/changemaker\/nicolo-govoni-e-la-sua-scuola-da-nobel\">Donna Moderna<\/a>, on July 3 and August 17, respectively, focusing on the <strong>need for school reform in Italy<\/strong>: &#8220;What we are creating with Still I Rise is a model that, if it were replicated in Milan, as it will be, would create lines of parents queuing up to enroll their children,&#8221; he told Donna Moderna journalist Anna Tagliacarne. &#8220;Education and schools are the place where citizens who will contribute to the development of society grow up, the place where
